The Layar is a villa resort of 23 private pool villas off Jalan Pangkung Sari in Seminyak (Kerobokan Kelod), about 1 km from Petitenget Beach. The villas have one to four bedrooms, sloping shingle roofs, kitchens, walled gardens and pools of 44 to 86 sq m, most with a jacuzzi. Settimo Cielo, an Italian restaurant, is at the front of the estate, and breakfast, meals, spa treatments and yoga are served in the villas.

- Set back from a quiet lane off Jalan Pangkung Sari, a short walk from the restaurants and boutiques of Jalan Laksmana (Eat Street) and about 1 km from Petitenget Beach; a free buggy drops guests in the Oberoi and Petitenget area on a daily schedule.
- The 23 villas are four one-bedroom villas with a 45 sq m pool, seven two-bedroom villas with a 44 to 56 sq m pool, jacuzzi and mezzanine media room, eleven three-bedroom villas with a 50 to 75 sq m pool, and one four-bedroom villa with an 86 sq m pool, jacuzzi and massage room.
- Each villa sits in its own walled garden under the architects' sail-like sloping ironwood-shingle roofs, with an open-plan living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and garden bathrooms.
- Settimo Cielo, the Italian restaurant at the front of the estate, serves lunch and dinner under a glass and canvas roof, while the central kitchen sends breakfast (7 to 11 am) and an in-villa menu (11 am to 10 pm) to the villas and cooks private barbecue dinners.
- Massages, scrubs and facials, yoga, meditation and personal training are given in the villas, and children get their own menu, shallow pool sections (safety fences for hire), hire equipment and babysitting on request.
