Bali Equestrian Centre
Play & adventure in Berawa (South Bali).
Bali Equestrian Centre is a riding school on Jalan Karang Suwung in Berawa, at the southern end of Canggu, founded in 2002 by an Australian. Its two hectares hold 40 stables for school and privately owned horses and ponies, two covered arenas, an outdoor jumping arena of 30 by 90 metres and eight grass paddocks, with a track around the edge for pony rides. It runs riding lessons and pony camps, and has a tack shop.
With children
From about four, children ride a pony led by staff around the grounds; from six they can take riding lessons, or join a pony camp to groom, saddle and feed the ponies and learn to steer and trot. Book ahead: there are no walk-in visits. Riders need long trousers and closed shoes; helmets are provided and boots can be hired.
