Museum Majapahit Tanah Lot
Museum in Beraban (Central Bali).
Museum Majapahit Tanah Lot is a history museum by the main car park of the Tanah Lot temple area in Beraban, Tabanan, about half a kilometre's walk from the temple, opened in November 2025. Its air-conditioned building is a labyrinth of twenty themed zones, from a prehistoric cave and a film on how Bali was formed to the Balinese kings and the rise and fall of Majapahit, with life-size dioramas, original statues and coins, AR displays and a boat ride.
With children
Younger children, from about four, enjoy the cave, the life-size figures and the boat ride; older ones follow the story and scan exhibits with a phone to see them in AR. Air-conditioned throughout, it makes a cool break at Tanah Lot. Its own ticket is sold at the Tanah Lot counter, and it offers a storyteller and worksheets for children.
