KuraKura Water Park
Water park in Mataram (Islands).
KuraKura Water Park, also spelled Kura-Kura Waterpark, is a family water park on Jalan Sriwijaya in central Mataram, Lombok's capital, about half an hour's drive from Senggigi, and was already open in 2013. Turtle statues stand at its gate (kura-kura means turtle). Slides from gentle to steep sit beside a lazy river and a large pool, the children's water playground has a pirate ship, spiral slides and spray arches, and a little elevated train runs above the grounds.
With children
Little ones climb the pirate ship and play under the spray arches and small slides; older children take the big slides and float round the lazy river on tubes, and all can ride the train. A simple local park, not a resort-scale one like Waterbom. Mataram families crowd in on weekends and during school holidays, so a weekday is calmer.
