Toya Devasya Hot Spring
Nature in Kintamani (Central Bali).
Toya Devasya Hot Spring is a pool park at Toya Bungkah, on the western shore of Lake Batur in Kintamani, open since 2002. Water from Mount Batur's volcanic springs fills eight natural pools, most of them warm rather than hot, and an Olympic-sized pool: infinity pools at the lake's edge, children's pools with slides, a small pool for little ones and one under a cave-like rock. Statues of the elephant, its emblem, stand about the grounds, and the park also runs treks up Mount Batur.
With children
Children from about three paddle in warm spring pools above Lake Batur, the youngest in the small Mammoth Pool; older ones ride the slides when they run. The slides have often been out of order, so ask at the ticket desk before paying. Keep soaks in the hotter Lovecave pool short, and bring warm clothes: Kintamani is cool.
