Gedong Kirtya
Museum in Buleleng (North Bali).
Gedong Kirtya in Singaraja is a library of lontar, the palm-leaf books in which Balinese texts on religion, medicine, history and myth were written, founded under Dutch rule in 1928. Its small rooms hold bundled leaf manuscripts, copper-plate inscriptions and colonial papers. It stands in the old Buleleng palace grounds next to the Buleleng Museum, so the two make one visit.
