Pemuteran Beach
Beach in Pemuteran (North Bali).
Pemuteran Beach is the curve of dark gray-brown sand in front of Pemuteran, a fishing village on Bali's northwest coast. The sea is shallow and usually calm, so you can snorkel straight from the beach to the Biorock coral-restoration structures, set a short swim offshore since 2000. Dive shops along the beach run trips to the bay's reefs and to Menjangan Island, and one of them, Reef Seen, runs a turtle hatchery with the villagers.
