Jungle Cart Bali
Play & adventure in Kedewatan (Central Bali).
Jungle Cart Bali is a downhill ride in three-wheeled carts with no engine or pedals, through the countryside north of Ubud, opened in August 2023. Riders meet at its office on Jalan Raya Lungsiakan in Kedewatan, on Ubud's western edge, for a shuttle of about 30 minutes to the start in Payangan. After a practice run, groups of up to 17 follow a safety car and guides down 4.5 km of mostly paved lanes past rice fields, temples and jungle. Allow about two hours in all.
With children
Children ride in an adult's cart behind a guide. The ticket is a real banana, whose peel riders may toss on the track as in Mario Kart, and fried banana waits at the finish. The operator takes children from five, and under-14s share an adult's cart; one booking site's package starts at seven, so book directly. Wear closed shoes.
