Galungan

Galungan marks the victory of dharma over adharma and the start of a ten-day period when ancestral spirits are believed to visit their families. Streets are lined with tall bamboo penjor and temples are busy with offerings; some shops and offices close. It recurs every 210 days on the Balinese pawukon calendar.
