Chinese New Year (Imlek)
6 February 2027. Vihara Dharmayana (Kuta) & island-wide
Chinese New Year (Imlek 2578 Kongzili) is a national public holiday. Chinese temples such as Vihara Dharmayana in Kuta hold prayers and barongsai (lion dance) performances, and some Balinese temples with Chinese links also mark the day.
Many Balinese ceremonies follow local calendars; check dates with the organisers before you travel.
